Who's Anshita?

Comedian
Anshita Koul (she/they) is a Berlin based, internationally touring and an independent polyglot comedian from India. She has three solo hours under her belt. And is currently on tour with her debut English solo – Little Too Much (Audience Reviews Here). They have taken the show and parts of it to 24+ cities across Europe, UK and counting, including Edinburgh Fringe, Tallinn Fringe and the backyard of a rich Flemish man. When Anshita is not touring, she is on stage almost every night in Berlin, either polishing her punchlines at the open mic or headlining a gig or putting a lineup together for her monthly comedy shows that they host and produce.

Producer
After building her material by travelling to different cities in Europe to access open mics, Anshita has finally stepped into the role of producing and curating lineups. She is the co-founder & co-producer of Clit Comedy Club & Festrogen Comedy Festival Luxembourg. They also host & produce monthly in-person comedy & storytelling shows under the collective – Comedy Bazaar in Berlin. And are also the host of Berlin’s FIRST EVER BIPOC QUEER COMEDY LINEUP at Tipsy Bear Berlin. Anshita was last seen on TLC Queens of Comedy 2017 and was the only comedian from Europe to make it to the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 FINALS.

Anshita often writes comedy sketches for her social media verticals and teaches both an in-person and remote joke & creative writing workshops for beginners, amateurs and professionals including young adults. She also offers personal comedy coaching (Punch up scripts, brainstorm premises, confidence building, public speaking skills and much more) and customised programs for special occasions.
